417 Magazine and 417 Home found a team of the brightest to build a dream home. The concept is to construct a home in which subcontractors that are sponsors apply the latest technology, use the best products and apply the utmost creativity. We call it the 417 Idea Home. When it’s all said and done, the Williamses will just call it home. For more info, visit 417homemagazine.com.

The 417 Idea Home has moved through the planning stages and is now in the initial stages of its 15-month build. Since day one, owners Marc and Patricia Williams have made entertaining a big focus for their new abode. From an open floor plan to a pantry with an additional oven and servers’ area, the home is tailored to help the Williamses host with ease and their guests feel accommodated.

Naturally, the details were not skipped as the specifics were ironed out for the outdoor area that overlooks the golf course in the Branson Hills subdivision. The Williamses (the W in the Branson Hills development company HCW) seem to have an endless number of luxury amenities in their exterior space.

The part of the house’s interior that connects to this outdoor area has been dedicated to a sports bar, and a service window will connect the bar and the outdoor Viking kitchen.

Combined, the water components create one of the most high-end areas that Bob Bruette, owner of Precision Pool, has assembled. He says he’s worked on similar-sized projects, but the details of the entire area as designed by Ron Hill make it highly impressive.

Because of how the lot sits and is being altered, the Willamses have the perfect setup for a zero-edge pool. From within the pool, it will look as though the edge disappears into the golf course. From the golf course, onlookers will see a cascading waterfall. Off-sets in the pool’s shape allow for two fountains that will spill into the pool from two of its corners. At two entrance areas to the pool there will be tanning decks where sunbathers can pull a lounge chair into the 18 and 24 inch deep water to stay cool while they bronze. It will all be highlighted at night with detail lighting.

The two-level (for standing and sitting) eight-person hot tub will be a bit away from the pool and closer to the entrance to the master bedroom, so the Willamses will have close access when the weather isn’t as swimsuit friendly. The outdoor lanai will run from the master bedroom all the way to the covered outdoor kitchen and will be accented with columns.  Also for cooler nights, there will be a fire pit with a sitting area. A second sitting area will be placed at the base of the waterfall that is created from the infinity edge of the pool.

The golf course is being created in the subdivision as the house goes up, and landscape designer Brent Crawford with Elite Landscapes is waiting for the golf course to finalize its plant selection before he finalizes that of the 417 Idea Home. He wants to be sure to mix in the look of the golf course and keep in tune with the home’s Mediterranean style.

For now, it’s just one step at a time to getting closer to the house that is to be finished and open for tours summer 2008.
