KTTS Brings Maren Morris to Springfield
Find out who wins a Springfield Country Music award on October 25 at the fourth annual KTTS Country Music Awards show featuring Maren Morris and Russell Dickerson.
The votes are in. This Wednesday, Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts hosts the fourth annual KTTS Springfield Country Music Awards show. With past performances by country stars Hunter Hayes, Cassadee Pope, Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, this year’s show featuring Maren Morris and Russell Dickerson is sure to be a smash hit.
“This show really is a jewel for Springfield,” says Mark Grantin, program director at KTTS. “No other city really has anything like this, so it’s a good event for the country music fan in the Springfield and Ozark area.”
Along with voting for their top national country artist, fans also had the chance to nominate their favorite local artists and cast a vote for them in each category. The categories, just like the Country Music Association's, include entertainer of the year, female vocalist of the year, vocal group of the year and many more.
“Obviously, we can’t have all the national artists here,” Grantin says. “But Maren Morris being able to attend is really great and Springfield country fans are excited.”
While tickets for the show are sold out, it’s been a good week for country music fans. The awards show falls only a few days after country star Thomas Rhett’s Springfield stop. Keep an eye on KTTS's website to see photos from the event.
