A New YarnCategories
User RatingsEssential Information
Owner Lisa Jobe Ellis was inspired to learn how to knit after watching her grandmother. In only a matter of months, Lisa was officially addicted. She faced her addiction head-on in March 2010 when she opened A New Yarn. Knitting is so many things: cathartic, therapeutic, calming, communal, warm, productive and a gift of love that you can share. Lisa designed her store to communicate these knitting attributes. Filled with elegant antiques, warm woods and sumptuous yarns, shoppers are invited to relax in one of the store’s comfortable sitting areas to knit or crochet. A New Yarn is dedicated to sharing the craft by offering a variety of classes and trunk shows each month. Bookmark our classes & events section, sign up for the e-newsletter or pick up an in-store flyer. When you’re in the store, don’t miss the Jamie Joseph jewelry case. A Springfield native and Lisa’s sister, Jamie and her husband now live in Seattle where they create elegant and timeless jewelry with an artisan’s aesthetic. Her collections are renowned for meticulous craftsmanship, signature stone cutting techniques, and an abundance of color. Each piece is designed to be an heirloom just like those crafted from Lisa’s beautiful yarns. Additional InformationFacebook: |
