417 Ugly Dog Contest

We know you love your dog no matter what he or she looks like. So do we! But everyone does a "Cutest" pet contest; we wanted to hear from 417-landers who have unconditional affection for their furry friends.

That's why, from now until November, we're celebrating 417's Ugliest Dogs!

It starts now, with your nominations. From now until May 22, submit your pooch for The Ugliest Dog Contest. Each nomination costs $10, with proceeds benefiting the Southwest Missouri Humane Society. In June and July, readers will vote for The Ugliest Dog. Dogs will be voted off each week until the Top 3 are chosen. The three ugliest dogs will be pampered, have their own personal photo shoot, and each be featured in a full-page photo in the September, October and November issues of 417 Magazine.

After submitting, you will be redirected to our secure site for making your $10 donation to Southwest Missouri Humane Society.
