Our Location
Whitaker Publishing is headquartered in Springfield, the third-largest city of Missouri, metro pop. 360,800. Springfield is the hub of Missouri’s fastest-growing region, with a diverse, entrepreneurial economy with many small businesses. The city is home to about seven colleges and universities, among them Missouri State University’s flagship campus. There is a culture-packed downtown, but it’s also an easy drive for outdoor activities such as canoeing, boating, hiking, fishing, as well as sampling Missouri wineries. Our cost of living is low, but our quality of life is high. Springfield is not far from Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbia, Branson and destinations in northwestern Arkansas. The Springfield-Branson National Airport connects the region to many major U.S. cities, and a Branson airport is in development that will do the same in years to come.

Don’t even call or send your resume unless you are an overachiever and can prove it. 417 Magazine is seeking a dynamic individual to develop new business, while maintaining long term relationships with our current clients. In this role you will work with account executives selling marketing, print-advertising, web-advertising and event sponsorships. All candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to exceed sales goals, present strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to present solutions while face to face in a customer situation. This position requires an outstanding work ethic, a high level of initiative, excellent follow-through, the ability to prioritize and an intense desire to succeed.
