Job title: Sales Coordinator

 

Description: Coordinate and support the sales team through tracking accountability to ensure revenue goals are met, providing resources to support these goals and overseeing the annual plan.

 

Responsibilities:‚Äč

  • Oversee and track the annual plan/strategy as set forth by VP of Sales

  • Run sales meetings, set the agenda, provide resources and information to help team carry out the annual plan

  • Generate and analyze revenue reports

  • Review contracts for accuracy and work closely with Finance Coordinator on collections and pacing

  • Provide resources for roll out of new issues, events, special sections, etc.

  • Work with Advertising Design Department on developing new sales materials, make changes and updates to current sales materials and ensure accuracy of all information

  • Manage and champion CRM (Client Relationship Manager) by keeping it organized and updated for accuracy and keeping yourself in the loop on updates as they come

  • Be available to reps throughout the day to serve as the point person for questions and issues

  • Train new account executives on products, systems, processes and CRM

 

Education Requirements and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Communication or equivalent experience and education

  • 1–3 years work experience supporting a sales team (fantastic internship experience counts)

 

Skills and Strengths:

  • Proven knowledge in sales reporting and analytics

  • High skill level in Excel

  • Experience working in a CRM

  • Organizational skills and is detailed oriented

  • Intrinsic motivation to work independently yet still be a team player

  • Comfort with following direction and receiving feedback as required

  • Management of a workload with multiple projects and competing deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that strike a balance of highly assertive and super charismatic

  • Unparalleled customer service

  • Creative thinking, ability to offer input in meetings and confidence to share ideas

  • Critical thinking, negotiation, decision making and problem solving skills

Evaluations and Outcomes:

  • The position will be evaluated after 90 days with quarterly reviews.

 

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary in an office environment with the exception of event days

  • May be required to lift up to thirty (30) pounds

  • Flexible in working extended hours
