What’s your signature piece?

The cutaway collar shirt, with a single windsor knot for the tie.  It’s just a bit of a pattern interrupt.

What is the most embarrassing

thing you’ve ever worn?

Capezio shoes in 1984.  And yes, they were white

What three words define your personal style?

Tailored, dapper, classic

What’s the most you’ve ever spent on a must-have piece of clothing?

Custom suit, priceless.

Where do you find fashion inspiration?

GQ Magazine is always interesting for ideas to push yourself out of the comfort zone.  Town & County in Springfield is just awesome, period. Brooks Brothers for a classic, timeless and safe choice.

If you could wear one brand or designer for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Ralph Lauren.  From pajamas to tuxedos, ties to suits.

Who are your fashion role models?

Ralph Lauren for his American stamp of cool on just about everything. Fred Astaire could do tuxedo, but had a class of his own when in normal day suiting.

How long does it take you to get ready to do out or go to work?

30 minutes, tops.  Guys don’t talk about that you know.

Finish this sentence: “I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing...”

I struggle answering this one because I fear offending some of my friends and business colleagues.  I will tell you that it’s two words that start with “P.”

What are your favorite places to shop that are in 417-land?

Town & County

What are your favorite places to shop that are not in 417-land?

Brooks Brothers stores and online and Polo Outlets.

What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found?

Custom tuxedo for free.

What do you think is the worst fashion faux pas?

Baggie anything.

Do you shop at thrift stores? If so, what do you look for?

No, but I do surf ebay for specific items.

What’s your favorite outfit or article of clothing you’ve ever worn?

Custom suit from Town & County

What is your favorite fashion trend right now?

Tie clips.

What fashion trend do you wish would go away?

Super, tight legged pants.  Whether it’s jeans or suit pants.
