Seven Good Things
These seven dishes or drinks have passed out taste buds and made us rave. They are ranked by level of yumminess.
1. The California chicken sandwich at The Blue Bull Bar & Grill is a tasty flavor combination of grilled bird, avocado and provolone cheese. The best part: Order it on a buttery pretzel bun. The bun’s a bit messy, but it’s extra tasty.
2. The cappuccino at The Coffee Ethic is the real deal. Served at just 6 ounces, it has the perfect proportions of espresso, milk and foam (and the PT’s Coffee that it’s made with tastes oh-so-delicious).
3. One of our favorite finds at the Greater Springfield Farmers’ Market is the homemade sweet bean bun from the Echigo Farm booth. Soft, slightly sweet bread surrounds the yummiest and most candy-like chunk-o’-beans we’ve ever tasted.

4. For a meaty variety, we are loving the mixed grill at Gem of India. It’s full of steaming hot tandoori chicken, beef, fish and more on a sizzling plate with grilled veggies.
5. We adore the fun mix of flavors and textures in the chicken and nutty orzo herb salad at Bruno’s. The little pasta is tossed with herbs and spices, almonds, julienne veggies and chicken tenders.
6. Our favorite way to get a mango fix is with the mango fried rice at Thai Peppers (417-882-1979). The big chunks of fruit taste great with the gingery rice, and it comes topped with crunchy almonds.
7. A great happy find is the Italian Duo at Parlor 88. The warm cheesy goodness forms a perfect union with pita points. You could share it, but we prefer to devour it all by ourselves.
