Background: Since 2003, Rita Baron has led Baron Design & Associates, LLC to be one of the most recognized and respected architectural firms in 417-land. The 1999 Drury University graduate leads a team of design professionals to create vision that is grounded in the ethics and values of architecture.
Notable Projects: Baron Design’s body of work includes an impressive list of commercial projects as diverse as restaurants/retail in Illinois to municipal buildings in Missouri. Other notable projects include the headquarters for Evergreen Investments in Lebanon, Missouri, the County Employees’ Retirement Fund in Jefferson City and the $12 million, 125-room Hilton Garden Inn, which was designed to meet and received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Gold standards.
Specialty: Baron Design’s point of difference is the firm’s ability to complete a project inside and out, courtesy of Rita’s years of study as an interior designer before switching to architecture at Drury University.
Historic Preservation is part of Baron Design’s track record that includes a 1929 shoe factory in Washington, Missouri, and a 1920s school building in Trenton, Missouri. Both buildings were converted to senior living facilities and registered historically to meet state and federal requirements.
Baron Design’s portfolio includes the Butterfly Palace in Branson, the new Hollister campus for Ozarks Technical Community College and renovation projects, like the oldest building on Drury’s campus, Wallace Hall.
