Science may soon be a favorite subject for a lot of kids in K-8th grade. This summer, the Discovery Center is hosting a “Summer of Science.”
An almost endless list of options are available according to interest. Half and full-day camps include Superhero Training where kids learn the physics of superpowers. Mad Lab offers the opportunity to use real science equipment, make slimy concoctions and witness chemical reactions. Culinary Concoctions researches the science behind cooking, smell and taste. (Kids get to eat their experiments!)
Other camps study space, Ancient Egypt, endangered species, biology, bugs and other soon-to-be favorite scientific subjects.
