Best of 417 Awards 2008

Readers' choices for the best in dining, shopping, living and more, from all over southwest Missouri.

This issue is all about showing what’s the most fun and flavorful about 417-land; we hope you enjoy your Best of 417 Magazine Awards.

Why do we say they’re “your” awards? Because they are. Beginning last September, readers voted through paper ballots and 417mag.com to choose most of the Best of 417 Magazine Awards. In addition, our staff chose many Editors’ Picks, which are all labeled here.

One-hundred thirty thousand of you will read this feature, so we hope as many of you as possible will join us at the annual Best of 417 Magazine Party, February 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Springfield Expo Center. We’ll have food from local restaurants (Missouri wines, too) and local entertainment and personalities, all recognized in this feature. The party benefits local charities.
