It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for.

The process all started last September. That’s when we took nominations from readers in dozens of Readers’ Choice Award categories. We asked you about your favorite people, places, services, shops and more, and then in October, we put the top vote-getters
online for one last round of voting.

What follows are the results of your two cents. You voted, and we’re sharing the Readers’ Choice winners. We also added Editors’ Picks to honor many more delicious, fun, exciting and noteworthy people, places, dishes, services, shopping and experiences from our corner of the state.
Put them all together, and you have the 2013 Best of 417 Awards. They represent a whole lot of favorites—yours and ours—and celebrate the best of the best in 417-land. Read on to meet some new faces and find  new ways to enjoy living in southwest Missouri.
