The Powderpuff Workaholic

Natasha Martin, 24

Owner, Panache Boutique

If you’ve been to Panache Boutique in the last couple of years, there’s an almost 100 percent chance you’ve met Natasha Martin, the fashion retailer’s stylishly impeccable owner. A harder-working boutique owner you will not find. That’s because, unless she’s taking time off to do photo shoots for local alt-news/entertainment mags or at market, Natasha is always the person behind Panache’s counter—she is the store’s only full-time employee. The reason for this six-day work week? Natasha says she feels having the owner ever-present is the only way to maintain the level of service she knows is necessary in Springfield’s competitive boutique market. A couple of things about Natasha: She loves her poodle, Princess, and she loves football—she knows enough about the NFL to put most men to shame (we aren’t going complain, are we guys?) The former powder-puff league football player—seriously— spends Sunday, her only day off, watching games and sometimes traveling to catch her favorite team, the New England Patriots, in person.

If you could eat one meal in Springfield, and budget isn’t an obstacle, where would you eat? Hong Kong Inn.
First website you hit every morning:
When I’m 40 I hope  _____________? “I am married and have a second location.”
You have an iPod and can only download one album. What is it? Justin Timberlake’s new album. “I went to one of his concerts recently. It was highly sexual.”
In an honest moment, what would you tell someone about your job? “I love it, but when you do everything yourself, there’s a lot of pressure. The nice parts and the bad parts are all yours.”
Who would play you in a movie of your life? “Who has big boobs that I would want to play me...? Angelina Jolie. She has dark hair and big lips.”
If you could be on a reality show, what would it be? So You Think You Can Dance?
Biggest phobia: “Not continuing to grow and be successful.”
One night, no complications, whom do you seduce? “Justin Timberlake, hands down.”

Movie: Kicking and Screaming
Adult beverage: Natasha doesn’t drink, but she shared her strange daily coffee fix: “Starbucks venti vanilla latte with skim milk, a shot of hazelnut and extra whipped cream.”
TV show: Grey’s Anatomy
Fast food indulgence: Hong Kong Inn
Book: The Shop-a-holic series

Take your pick:

Time machine or omniscience? Omniscience
Black tie or comfy sweats? Comfy sweats
John or Paul? Paul
MySpace or Facebook? “They’re both stupid.”
Deal or No Deal? No Deal
