The PR Savant

Jennifer Riley, 28

Vice-president and PR director, 2Balance

Jennifer is one of those lucky people who knows what she wants to do and, at a young age, is excelling at it—and isn’t that what 20 Under 30 is all about? As vice-president and public relations director for local PR firm 2Balance—recently ranked a Best Place to Work by the editors of 417 Magazine—Jennifer works with clients big (Nestle) and small (Skinny Improv, at one point) on media relations, crisis management and special events (she also does all those things internally for 2Balance.) Jennifer has made professional development more than a catch phrase; she’s APR (Accredited in Public Relations) certified, an big accomplishment at 28. Jennifer works to advance the PR profession in her spare time, too. She is on the board of the Southwest Missouri chapter of the PR Society of America and a past board member for the International Food Service Editorial Council. When not working, Jennifer reads, scrapbooks and spends time with husband Bill (“Bill RILEY, not Bill O’REILLY,” she insists.) and her poodles, Maggie and Harley. Jennifer and Bill are expecting their first child in November.
