Big Vino

Spend a weekend wining, dining and learning about pairing your favorite fermented beverage with its perfect complement.

Big Vino

Learning to love wine can be a complex and intimidating process, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, Big Cedar Lodge has set out to prove it can be fun.

Everyone’s invited to try vintages specially selected by world-renowned wine masters and hors d’oeuvres and meals prepared by Big Cedar Chef Andy Hampshire.

The weekend of January 16 and 17, sample Pannotia Vineyard’s Spanish wines. Pannotia, literally meaning “all the world is a single continent,” is dedicated to bringing wine varieties from around the world to everyday Americans. International wines from some of the best growing regions are sold at surprisingly affordable prices.

The star guest for the weekend is world-renowned wine expert Doug Frost, one of only three people in the world to have passed both the Master Sommelier and America’s Master of Wine exams.

The weekend of January 23 and 24, explore the varieties of Frog’s Leap wines, made with organically grown wine and traditional techniques meant to reflect the climate and soils of the growing region. Winemaker John Williams, owner of the vineyard, is the special guest, and he’ll also be speaking, selecting wines and mingling.
