Quick Dish Review: Blue Bull Bar & Grill
Pork Tenderloin Sandwich at Blue Bull Bar & Grill
I literally felt like I was in an episode of the Flintstones with how big this piece of meat was. The hand-breaded pork tenderloin sandwich at Blue Bull is on the Whole Bull part of the menu for a reason. It’s one of those sandwiches that you have to eat the meat that is hanging off the bun first before you can really dig in. It’s served with whatever toppings you want but I just had the standard dress of lettuce, tomato, and mayo with a side of fries. This baby is super juicy and tender which surprised me a bit because of its size. Sometimes when you have a large hunk of meat it tends to dry out when you fry it, but not this one. The hand-breaded crust on the outside was thin, crunchy and a little bit salty. So each bite had a big crunch at the beginning and then the sweet, juicy pork kind of takes over. Some people don’t like mayo, but I am not one of them. The creaminess and saltiness of the mayo really helps balance out the pork so you get a nice sweet and salty flavor the whole way through. The only problem I could find with this sandwich was that after I had finished, I immediately wanted to take nap.
