Quick Dish Review: Shelia's Place
Quick Dish Review of the Country Scramble at Shelia's Place.
Shelia's Place (915 S. Marshall, Marshfield) is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. The menu is filled with homemade goodness, ranging from the bread used for toast to the huge, dinner-plate sized homemade cinnamon rolls. On my recent visit, I decided to go with half order of the Country Scramble, which is a bowl filled with hash browns, peppers, onions and ham, and topped with a pile of fluffy scrambled eggs and melted cheese. I love these things. The salty hashbrowns give a nice crunch to balance the tenderness of the eggs, and the peppers and onions add a lot of flavor. The half order is huge, nearly too much for me to finish—especially since it comes with a side of toast. I, however, opted to substitute half a cinnamon roll instead. These are so amazing: A ring of soft bread, filled with cinnamon and other spices, and topped with either maple or cream cheese icing. I chose the cream cheese on this visit, but I can vouch that both are amazing. This is definitely a fill-you-up-all-day kind of meal, one worth every calorie.
