A 2004 fire destroyed their house and about 75 percent of their possessions, but the Horton family—and their home—aren’t that easily beaten.

After a fire burned down their home, much of the Hortons’ property was destroyed.This picture of the new dining room shows newly bought furniture that preplaced the ruined antiques.	This is what the Hortons’ living room looks like after the home was rebuilt and remodeled.
The Hortons’ rebuilt home was decorated in the style and colors of French country décor, with knotty wood floors and a warm color palette of rich reds, golds and blues.	The Hortons had just gotten their new toile bedding when the fire destroyed it. Unlike some parts of the home that they completely changed, they decided to purchase that same bedding for the new master bedroom.
The new kitchen in the Horton home is the centerpiece. It’s granite countertops and red walls make it stand out, and it has a new theme: roosters.	The Horton's great room.
