Taking inspiration from the Wild West and the Ozarks' country charm, California transplants Ruthann and Gary Winans designed their dream home with a view of the rural countryside.

The Winans family designed their home to fit all their preferences, and Ruthann decorated the house in what she calls a "farmhouse lodge" style with a Western touch.	Ruthann designed this 7-foot-tall mantle in the living room.
The home holds a mix of new and old pieces, and the bench in the entryway was a pew recovered from an old church.	The kitchen has mix-and-match cabinets in natural wood stain and white, red and weathered black paint.
Ruthann's baking center (with an extra-deep counter for rolling out pie crusts) looks into her walk-in, general store-style pantry.	Gary and Ruthann sit beside their great room's oversized fireplace, mad from Colorado River rock.
Ruthann used fleece blankets as window treatments in the great room and to add that country look to her eight-person dinning table.	The washboard is a permanent feature in the half bath's custom-made wash tub sink. Touches of country flair adorn the walls.
