It’s Lance Armstrong!

Or is it? Sean McQueary won 417 Magazine’s Celebrity Look-Alike contest, and he fits the part in more ways than just appearance.

This spring, 417 hosted the Celebrity Look-Alike Contest. Readers nominated themselves, friends or family members by sending in a photo of the contestant and their celebrity look-alike. The finalists were chosen, then they were styled by Karma Salon to further resemble their celebrity twins. Readers voted online, and a winner was clear: Sean McQueary, an insurance producer for Barker Phillips Jackson.

McQueary, 417-land’s Lance Armstrong look-alike, was nominated for the contest by his mother, Karen Krittenbrink, and his wife, Kim McQueary. He thought the contest was a fun idea, because he has been mistaken for Armstrong for years. “Lance was in Cabo San Lucas at the same time I was and was one resort over,” McQueary says. “I was sitting by the pool and had people coming up and taking pictures. I was taking pictures in restaurants, and people were chasing me down in the Cabo airport.”

McQueary has more than looks in common with the cyclist. He has been cycling competitively for five years, and he is a cancer survivor. McQueary races for the St. John’s cycling team, competing in races across the Midwest. He is a three-time winner of the state of Missouri’s time trial championships.

In 1993, McQueary was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He underwent two surgeries and radiation treatments. Because of this experience, McQueary is active in Armstrong’s Live Strong Foundation. He donates money to the foundation, promotes cancer awareness and has a yellow band on his wrist. He also does community service for St. John’s, promoting healthy lifestyles through cycling.
