If a time comes when you need a doctor, you don’t want to wonder if you’re choosing the right person. But how do you make that decision?
If you’re new to town—or not—and don’t know where to begin the search for a physician, this feature could provide a place for you to start. Sometimes the most reliable tips come in the form of word-of-mouth recommendations from trusted friends, and in a way, that’s what this list is about. It began in December, when we surveyed 417-land physicians in six towns: Bolivar, Branson, Joplin, Lebanon, Springfield and West Plains. We asked them to tell us who they’d recommend to friends and family members searching for a doctor in a certain field or specialty. The following list contains their answers. It’s not the only information out there about who the best doctors are in our region, but it’s a place to start as you work on making the right choices for you and your family.
