As 417 Magazine’s Creative Director, I pull inspiration from all over. Design is a passion of mine, and when I’m out scouting products to feature in the magazine I run across items I just have to share with our readers. Right now I’m prepping my wardrobe and my medicine cabinet with summer must-haves so I can make the most of the sunshine.

1. Bright Style: I love this fair-trade clutch by Unique Batik ($45 at Global Crafts). It’s one of those finds you will have forever. Throw it in your oversized bag this summer so you can easily grab it and go. The beautiful embroidery is handmade, and the best part is the brand’s ethical trade practices make it a guilt-free buy!
2. Beach Babe: It’s pool time and why not look fabulous and unique while chilling in the sun? These sarongs ($16 at Global Crafts) are handmade in India and come in several patterns, colors and fabrics so you can match them to any swimsuit in your wardrobe.
3. Tan it Up: I’ve tried every sunless tanner out there, and at last I have found a winner. Tantasia ($34 at The Center for Plastic Surgery) creates a golden tan that looks and acts like the real thing. It stimulates the melanin in your skin to gradually give you a natural-looking glow that is unique to you.
4. Sassy SPF: While you’re out catching some rays, try using SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense ($34 at The Center for Plastic Surgery). It’s a slightly tinted sunscreen that leaves your skin looking radiant and protects it all at once. This stuff is pure magic.
