We asked hundreds of 417-land doctors, if you or your family needed medical care, whom would you turn to? Here are their answers. Search for the one that's right for you.

It’s a tough question. Which doctor is the best for me? Doctors and their office staff are often tight-lipped due to the ethical and privacy demands of their profession. Where do patients turn for information? The short answer is word of mouth. Friends recommend physicians to friends, which is great, except if you’re new to town and you haven’t yet networked your way into the grapevine.

The goal of this feature is to provide you a little word of mouth, plus research. The premise? Simple. We survey as many physicians as possible in 417-land. We ask them whom they’d trust with health care for themselves, or their loved ones, and they fill in the names as best they can. The resulting list, printed here, isn’t graven in stone; it’s a starting point for you as you make health-care choices.

I would like to know why there are no listings for chiropractors on your "Best of 417" Doctors. I have been a practicing wellness chiropractor for the past 6 years, and have never seen a listing. I do not know if your magazine does not consider chiropractors as actual doctors, or if you would rather just run a whole issue on natural health and "best of 417" natural health practitioners. I haven't seen that issue as of yet. I would gladly spend some time speaking to you as to what chiropractic actually is , in case there may be some confusion.
