Drink of the Month: The Schlafly Flight
For beer-lovers who just can’t make up their minds, the Schlafly flight at Farmers Gastropub offers generous portions of four different, delicious brews.

Cost:
$5
Where to Get It:
Farmers Gastropub
431 S. Jefferson Ave., Springfield, 417-864-6994
What’s Inside:
Separate portions of Schlafly
Bière de Garde, Schlafly
Coffee Stout, Schlafly
Winter ESB
and Farmers Brown Ale
What it Tastes Like:
It tastes like a twisting, turning tour of my favorite beer flavors in a rainbow of colors from light amber to deep black. The Schlafly
Bière de Garde is a barely sweet farmhouse ale with spicy French hops. The coffee stout has a warm and comforting flavor, with notes of Kaldi’s coffee in a black-as-night brew. The Winter ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is perfect for lovers of hoppy beer, and it’s the most refreshing of the bunch. And the brown ale is a classic, with a mild taste and just the right balance of flavors for a clean finish. The best part, though? For just $5, we got about two full beers worth of drinks.
