30, Stay at home mom, personal trainer, and bootcamp/fitness instructor at Dan Kinney Family Center

417 Magazine: Who are your fashion role models?
Tina Shaver: I have a few: Jennifer Aniston and her casual style, Nicole Richie and Blake Lively.

417: What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
T.S.: Anything moto and leather.

417: How long does it take you to get ready to go out or go to work?
T.S.: For work, no time at all! Workout clothes and a pony. Going out takes a little while because of my long hair and indecisiveness.

417: What’s your favorite outfit or article of clothing you’ve ever worn?
T.S.: Probably my staple—J Brand Skinnies.

417: What fashion trend do you wish would go away?
T.S.: The super high-waisted cut-offs that show your bum.

417: Finish this sentence: “I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing...”
T.S.: Anything I wore in high school!

417: Where do you find fashion inspiration?
T.S.: Honestly the people around me! I have some of the most stylish friends.

417: What words define your personal style?
T.S.: Classic and simple. Important for a mom of boys.

417: What’s your signature piece?
T.S.: This winter it was been my Dolce Vita suede wedge booties.

417: If you could wear one brand or designer for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
T.S.: That’s a hard one. I love Free People but would have to throw in some Lululemon for training!

417: What are your favorite places to shop that are in 417-land?
T.S.: Staxx is my absolute fave! Rodi and BCBG are a close second!

417: What are your favorite places to shop that are not in 417-land?
T.S.: I have two crazy boys, so I live by Piperlime! All the designers in one place with free shipping and returns.

417: What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever worn?
T.S.: I would say my uniform I use to have to wear for my old job.

417: What’s the most you’ve ever spent on a must-have piece of clothing?
T.S.: I am pretty thrifty. I spent $500 on a fun red and nude BCBG dress for a special event.

417: What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found?
T.S.: James Perse, Chaser and Free People at TJ Maxx.

417: What do you think is the worst fashion faux pas?
T.S.: Scunchies, sandals with socks, and velour jumpsuits.

417: Do you shop at thrift stores? If so, what do you look for?
T.S.: Not on a regular basis but only because I don’t have time to sift through it all.

See the Best Dressed winners walk the runway in 417 Magazine’s Fashionation: Spring Fashion Show and Party.
The show is at the Gillioz Theatre at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21.
