417 Magazine: Who are your fashion role models?
Jessie Tindall: I love Kate Middleton’s style, and Olivia Pope from Scandal has amazing style as well! Kate Hudson and Jennifer Aniston’s simple styles are some more of my faves.
417: What do you think is the worst fashion faux pas?
J.T.: Socks with sandals!
417: What are your favorite places to shop that are in 417-land?
J.T.: Harem & Company and Modern Society are two places I frequent, but I also spend a lot of my time at Dillard’s, Banana Republic and Ann Taylor.
417: What’s your favorite outfit or article of clothing you’ve ever worn?
J.T.: Everyone who knows me will agree that I lack a lot of color in my wardrobe, so my answer on this will not surprise anyone! I have a little black dress that I can wear for just about anything. It’s comfy, versatile and timeless. It goes on the list of all-time favorites!
417: What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
J.T.: Love the plaids, love the layering and love that lace is making a comeback. That is right up my alley!
417: What three words define your personal style?
J.T.: Classic, polished, timeless.
417: Where do you find fashion inspiration?
J.T.: Lots of places, but I love to try and stay up on the latest trends through magazines. Although the funny part is that I can’t really say I always practice what I see because it’s all about what I’m feeling that day, and my style is pretty classic!
417: What’s your signature piece?
J.T.: I would have to go with a necklace. Whether it is a short chunky necklace or a long one, it can really make an outfit.
417: How long does it take you to get ready to do out or go to work?
J.T.: Start-to-finish, I would say an hour, an hour and 15 at the most.
417: If you could wear one brand or designer for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
J.T.: I love just about everything Vince Camuto has to offer down to his perfume, so I would have to go with that. But I’m also a big fan of J Crew.
417: What are your favorite places to shop that are not in 417-land?
J.T.: Nordstrom and J Crew, and I always love a great boutique.
417: What’s the most you’ve ever spent on a must-have piece of clothing?
J.T.: I am kind of a bargain shopper, so I try not to use all my resources on one item, but I would say my biggest splurge was on a must-have pair of shoes.
417: What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found?
J.T.: I love bargains, so it’s hard for me to pick just one, but I got a great bargain just last week at the Harem: buy one pair of shoes and get one free!
417: Do you shop at thrift stores? If so, what do you look for?
J.T.: Occasionally but not on a regular basis.
417: What fashion trend do you wish would go away?
J.T.: The ’90s-influenced fashion is not my gig. I feel like this was not the most flattering decade (at least for me anyway!) when it comes to fashion, so I don’t want to relive it.
