Caron Pollock calls the beds at the Hilton Promenade "pristine."
In March, Caron Pollock visited Branson from her suburban St. Louis home, and she rented a room at the Promenade in March with two of her daughters (one of whom is this magazine’s senior editor). Here are her takes:
  • “Very nice. It’s brand-new, so of course it’s nice. The beds were amazing—beautiful, you know, pristine white down everything. I have only been to one other hotel where I can brag about the bed, and that was in New York City.” (In fact, the beds are custom-designed for Hilton by Serta.)
  • “The Evelyn & Crabtree stuff in the bathrooms—my girls liked that.”
  • “We were on the 2nd floor, inside toward Branson Landing [with a balcony], where we could see the fountains and all the other stuff down there. It was really cool.”
  • “That being said, being on that side, you don’t realize how loud the music is. We liked the music; we were tickled pink because it wasn’t country, and we aren’t country. It was really loud, though. It came on at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, when we were sleeping, and it woke me up.”
  • “They charged us for parking. I’ve never been charged for parking at a hotel in my life. I shouldn’t have to pay $8 day for hotel parking.”
  • "Beautiful bathroom. It was huge, you could have had a party in there, but no bathtub.”
