How do you choose the perfect doctor for you and your family? When you find yourself needing medical care, you don’t want to be stuck wondering if you’ve chosen the right care provider.

That’s where this Top Doctors list comes in.

It’s an exhaustive listing of the very best physicians in southwest Missouri, as chosen by their peers. Whether you’re new to town and looking for a primary care physician, or a long-time 417-lander with a new medical need, you can find who you’re looking for in this handy resource. It includes doctors who are practicing in Bolivar, Branson, Joplin, Lebanon, Springfield and West Plains, touching all corners of 417-land.

Like reliable word-of-mouth tips from a trusted friend, this list contains physicians who are recommended by peers in their field. It began in December, when we surveyed 417-land physicians in six towns. We asked them to tell us who they’d recommend to friends and family members searching for a doctor in a certain field or specialty. The following list contains their answers. It’s not the only information out there about who the best doctors are in our region, but it’s a great place to start as you work on making the right choices for you and your family.
