5 Best Warm-You-Up Drinks
Latte Banana from Big Momma's

There’s something romantic about the steam rolling off a hot drink that you’re cupping in your icy hands in the middle of a cold, cold winter. When the wind is biting your nose and chilling your ears, it feels great to just grab a book and a big, fat sweater and warm away the winter blues at a cozy coffee shop. And what to order? We found five particularly tasty treats at five 417-land coffee shops. So belly up to the cash register and order something that comes with a little wintry spirit. A fashionable scarf and romantic snowy view from the window are not included.

1. Latte Banana

$3.75 to $3.98 at Big Momma’s, 217 E. Commercial St., Springfield, 417-865-9911
This banana and caramel latte is normally sold as a frozen drink, which is blended with a real banana. But you can request that it be made as a hot latte instead, which is $3.75 for a small and $3.98 for a large. The hot version is made with espresso, milk and banana syrup instead of a fresh banana, but the effect is the same: delightful. You can choose between real caramel sauce or caramel-flavored syrup for the drink’s shot of sugary goodness.
