The newest kid on the mobile food scene is serving up honey biscuits and wings!
Speedy’s Chicken is 417-land’s newest edition to a growing mobile food scene. They are currently located on S. Campbell in front of Kmart but they move frequently so make sure you check their facebook page. The menu is kind of small, but it’s a food truck with limited space so that makes sense. They have wings, battered dipped shrimp, and catfish. Each meal is served with fries and two honey biscuits.

I almost went with the two-piece wings, but when they slid open that window and I caught a whiff, I made the sensible decision to order four pieces. They have five different flavors; the “Screamin Hot” sounded too hot and the “Sweet & Tangy” sounded a little top wimpy, so original Buffalo was a perfect choice. It had some heat but nothing too serious. Each wing was big and meaty, but four was definitely the right choice to fill me up. The fries were nice and crisp and dusted with a spicy seasoning, which I loved. But the kicker was the fried biscuits drizzled with honey! These bad boys were insanely good and the excess of honey that dripped down onto the fries gave a nice sweet finish to each bite. I know it sounds weird to have buffalo wings paired with biscuits, fries, and honey, but for some reason it works and I am already craving my next meal there. — Dylan Whitaker
