From Renderings to Reality

You’ve read about it and seen the plans. Now the 417 Idea Home is finished, and you can get a look for yourself.

From Renderings to Reality

It was a little less than two years ago when we gathered some of 417-land’s top builders, architects, designers, suppliers and others together with one mission in mind: building a dream home in Branson Hills. All involved participants have faced more than their fair share of obstacles since that time.

A few major delays included hitting rock at the original building sight and a summer filled with constant rainy weather. But these bumps in the road didn’t hurt our final goal–they just prolonged the project. We’ve worked our way through the challenges, and now we have a 10,000-square-foot home that’s ready to tour.

These tours will take place October 2–5 and 9–12. They’ll give you a chance to see what we’ve been talking about for nearly two years, give you some one-of-a-kind home design ideas and get you behind the gates of the exclusive Branson Hills community. And not to mention, you’ll be able to see the home’s many unique features, including custom-made furniture, a hand-carved Cantera stone fireplace, an infinity-edge pool and a wide variety of first-class décor completed by 417-land’s top designers.

And these tours are offering more than just home design and interior design inspiration. The money they raise will benefit the Ozarks Regional YMCA and Skaggs Foundation. The Ozarks Regional YMCA (orymca.org) includes the Springfield Downtown YMCA and Pat Jones YMCA, as well as the Bolivar, Cassville, Hollister and Monett locations. The organization plans to use the money raised from the 417 Idea Home tours for their scholarship assistance program. The Skaggs Foundation (skaggs.net) develops relationships and financial resources to support the healthcare programs, projects and services of Branson’s Skaggs Community Health Center. The foundation plans to designate the funds raised with the 417 Idea Home tours to scholarship recipients of the Skaggs Community Health Center’s new cancer center.

If you would like to sign up to volunteer your time or purchase tickets to tour the home, visit 417mag.com. All volunteers will be entered to win a one-year subscription to 417 Magazine, and 20 winners will be drawn after the tours are completed.

Your $15 ticket purchase also includes a one-year subscription to the quarterly magazine, 417 Home. Tourgoers will have an opportunity to meet the suppliers and designers of the 417 Idea Home at select times. Parking will be available at the Branson RecPlex, and transportation to the home will be provided.
