Need a little retail therapy? There’s no better way to celebrate the incoming fall fashions than with a week of steep discounts at local retail shops. 417 Magazine Boutique Week is your chance to take advantage of the discounts, and other events, with a week-long shopping extravaganza.

It all starts with a Sip & Shop Champagne Brunch kick-off party at Metropolitan Grill (October 1, 10 a.m., $10 per person. Call Megan Johnson at 417-883-7417 to R.S.V.P.) Not only do you get to enjoy champagne before you begin your shopping, you also get an early shot at Boutique Week, because you get to pick up your 25-percent-off Savings Pass that day.
Shoppers who don’t come to brunch can download their Savings Pass at 417mag.com/boutiqueweek starting October 3, and the savings go through October 8.
