Hometown: Mt. Vernon, MO

What are your goals?
My goal is to always keep goals in mind and to always at the end of the day be doing things that make me happy, are serving a good and are fulfilling my obligations to my employer and my family.

How do you deal with pressure?
I’m pretty low stress and low key, laid back. I don’t get stressed very easily. Pressure doesn’t really bother me. I get a lot more done when I have a deadline, it doesn’t stress me out.

What motivates you?
My family and friends motivate me because they support me and believe that I can achieve great things. I feel like I’ve been able to achieve since people have great confidence in me.

If you could start a new career, what would you do?
Become a college professor. I really like that college setting with that idea mecca and I would like the option to take the summer off.

Who are your real life heroes?
My parents. They live Christian lives and have shown a commitment to each other through thick and thin. They’ve raised 4 children to learn right and wrong. Also, my grandparents have taught me and helped me to develop into the person I am today.

What’s the best book you’ve read in the past year?
The Life of Pi. My favorite part is when the little boy is being confronted by his Christian pastor, Buddhist monk and Hindu guy and they’re all telling him that he can’t be all three, and he’s like why not? From the eyes of the child it’s seeing good in everything and in every religion. It embodies why as Christians we’re supposed to look at life through the eyes of a child. It was just a wonderful story.

What’s your favorite quote?
Andy Warhol, “They say time changes things but you really have to change it yourself.” I think that there comes a point where you have to make change happen and be the change you want to see in the world.

When are you happiest?
I’m happiest when I’m with my family or whenever I’m bouncing around in my boyfriends farm truck. Whenever we’re out at his farm and doing something. Having family time and having a picnic lunch with my family. Back to nature together time with my family in Kentucky too.

Do you have a prized possession?
I’m addicted to my cell phone and my macbook. I bought my first house and I absolutely love my house. I have a lot of books that I love and I collect antiquey type things.

What part of the world would you like to visit but haven’t?
India for sure. I practice yoga and I would love to go over there and have a guru and really study yoga and their culture. They’re very progressive and have such a strong family culture. I would love to travel there for six months and soak it all up.

If you could share a taxi from the airport with any celebrity, who would you choose?
Matt Damon because he’s hot. I have always loved him. He’s just so pretty and smart. Him or George Clooney, who is really hot and is really an activist. I’d love to ask him what it’s like to have your own platform.

When you look in a mirror, what do you see?
I think I’m really critical whenever I look at myself. It’s my appearance, which every girl deals with, and I take a strong look at the inside of me and see if I’m representing what I want to as a Christian and if I’m doing enough for the world caring about the needs of others.

If you could eliminate a trait of your own, what would it be?
At the end of the day I’m ok and I’m self-confident.

If you could go back to a certain age again, what would it be?
It’s kind of weird for me since I’m not really old. I would go back to my second and third year of college and change some things. I would probably do things differently.

Give me three words that describe yourself.
Happy, my myspace mood is always the same. Thoughtful, I’m full of thoughts. Hopeful.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
That I made myself travel when I was in college. I spent over a month in Brazil. I’m always proud that I graduated from college and I did a comprehensive major and a minor in four years.

What talent would you most like to have?
Probably I wish I were more musical. I wish I could sing really well or play a bunch of musical instruments. I really wish I could sing really beautifully.

What do you know for sure?
I know for sure that I have to have confidence in my faith more than anything. I know that God is real and I know that I need to live my life to glorify Him. There’s not really anything else that I can say. I’ve never really doubted. My faith is something that is so substantial and so real like the air and the sun.

When was the last time you did something reckless?
Everyday on the way to work putting on my makeup and driving. I remember one time I was with a bunch of friends in Europe and I got separated from them and I was waiting for them in a train station. I basically sat at this train station with all the homeless people in the middle of night.

What is your philosophy in life?
Probably do good and put other people in front of yourself. I think that if you do good and put other peoples needs before your own you’ll have a lot of friends and be able to gain respect and accomplish things you want to accomplish.

If you had $1 million, how would you spend it?
I would give a lot of money to my parents and pay off my house and buy an awesome car. I’m not a car person, but I drive so much. Just drive something really cool. I would like to go to New York and buy really cool clothes. I would also try and save some of it.

What sort of work do you try to avoid or put off?
I am like the worst at putting off everything. I put off things that involve things that require me to sit down and work on something. I like to be up and visiting and doing things with my hands. Balancing my checkbook and things that are boring like that I hate doing.

What do you worry about most?
I don’t really worry a whole lot about anything, but I worry about losing someone that I love. My family, my boyfriend, my best friends. I’ve never lost someone really close to me. The world is just crazy and accidents happen and I’m worried that something stupid will happen that will affect someone I love.

What mistakes in your life have you learned from?
I think that the mistakes I’ve learned from the most come from when I’ve deterred furthest from what I know is right and wrong. It always comes back and you pay the consequences later. Like in relationships and stupid stuff that I’ve done in college.

What was your first job?
Probably one of the first things I did was pick blueberries for a little farm in Mt. Vernon. I may have gone out there a few mornings in the summer and I was thinking I hate this. It was fun to be outside, but we had to fill these big buckets.
