At Apricot Lane, owner Tracy Boyce offers a variety of clothing and jewelry for women ranging in ages, and don’t forget to check out the men’s collection, too.

THE SHOP: Apricot Lane, 216 Branson Landing, Branson, 417-334-7070, apricotlanebranson.com. Open Mon.–Thurs. 10 a.m.–9 p.m., Fri.–Sat. 10 a.m.–10 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m.–7 p.m.

ATMOSPHERE: Apricot Lane Boutique sits between Bath Junkie and Caché in Branson Landing. As I walked up to the storefront, I noticed a giant purse and some bangle bracelets that I would have liked to buy hanging on one of the window mannequins. The chic attire in the windows gave me a great preview of the shop’s trendy inventory. When I walked through the doors, I noticed the store’s ultra-contemporary look. There are exposed brick walls, wooden floors and a ton of clothes I’d love to have in my closet.

KEY PEOPLE: Tracy Boyce is exactly what you’d picture a trendy boutique-owner to look like. She’s blonde and beautiful, and when I met her she was dressed like she stepped out of the latest issue of Vogue. Before opening Apricot Lane last May, Tracy worked for her husband, Tom, for 10 years at both of his businesses: Tom Boyce Excavating and Elite Landscapes. “I decided that I just wanted to do something girly,” Boyce says.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND: As I walked around the store, I knew I wanted to examine every item before I left. I loved the Miss Me jeans. I loved the adorable cotton sundresses. And I loved, loved, loved the Lucky Brand patchwork handbag. I liked the style of everything in the store. The clothes are trendy, but not the “look at me, I spent three hours getting ready” kind of trendy. It’s an easy-going, laid-back style. Another thing I liked was the variety of clothing. I’m in my twenties, and there lots of things I’d wear. But I also notice items that I think women in their 30s would like, and women in their 40s and beyond. Boyce says that was intentional. “We wanted it to be a place where moms and daughters could shop together,” Boyce says.

Most of the clothing in the store is for women, but there is also a small men’s collection. The store sells a lot of popular brand-name items, including denim by Rock Revival, Miss Me, MEK, Lucky Brand and more, and tops by Big Star, Trinity and more. The jewelry selection is spread throughout a few places in the store, and there’s a little something for everyone. And you’ll have no problem finding matching accessories.

417 VERDICT: Apricot Lane is a great addition to Branson Landing. The items are priced well, and the shop has a variety of both higher-end items and more affordable pieces. There’s also an assortment of items that would make great gifts. It’s the perfect spot to buy a new outfit for a night on the town, or to find a professional-looking top to wear to work.
