Quick Dish: The Buzz
We’re buzzing about The Buzz Café (1360 E. Republic Rd., 417-881-4442). The Navajo tacos ($6.99) are the perfect dish for a cool fall day (or cool summer day, as the case had been). You are served a warm piece of deep-fried flatbread that takes up almost your entire plate. It is drenched with beans, meat, lettuce, tomato and cheese, and comes with sour cream and salsa on the side. It tastes as if someone poured a whole bowl of chili with all the toppings on top of a fluffy loaf of bread. It is a bit messy (it requires a fork) but it is incredibly delicious. This is a taco lover's delight, just without the hard shell, and a perfect meal to split if you aren't too hungry. Otherwise, be sure to come with an empty stomach because you will be full!
