Alison Miller

Age: 42
Occupation: stay-at-home mom

The world of deadlines and fast-paced writing that Alison Miller imagined while attending journalism school at the University of Missouri is a long way from where she is now. Her life now consists of lots of volunteering through the Junior League of Springfield (especially supporting Isabel’s House) and keeping up with her three kids: 11-year-old Ryan, 9-year-old Ellie and 6-year-old Maggie. Miller says her kids are active, and she spends a lot of time driving them to activities such as soccer, dance and gymnastics. Miller leads an active lifestyle, too. She runs, plays tennis and golf, and says she loves anything athletic. —K.F.
