'Da Barefoot Chef, aka Pauly Allen, is a 417-land culinary expert, in-home and event caterer, and fanatical foodie. He also runs Da Barefoot Chef restaurant in Ozark. Contact him at 417-861-8896, or through us by e-mail editor@417mag.com. He'll be sharing local, life-enhancing food tips—from the garden to the kitchen to the tables of 417-land restaurants—on this blog. Take it away, Pauly!

We've been getting tips and tibits from Pauly over the last few weeks as he traveled around 417-land and even to Tennessee. Some of these tips are more travel- and life-related than food-related... but that's okay.

1. Memphis–style ribs rock! Dry-rubbed, cooked on a charcoal grill. Beer pairs perfectly, and (just my recommendation) drink lots before, and lots after, and don't forget in between. Tip: I ate at Rendezvous in Memphis... yummy!

2. Whatever dream or desire you may have, do it! Don't ask others, but go forward and plan for success, be around other positive influences and disregard the negative no matter how close they may be. It will hold you back, so get it, climb that mountain and make your dreams and desires a reality!

3. Enjoy your life no matter what I tell you, I am mearly sharing my views on nutrition and health. I love you all and do not judge you if you eat poop on a stick (though I might not eat with you, ha!). As I always say, "Take the good and leave the bad," which meaning everyone has good and everyone has bad, so take what you want and dismiss the rest.

4. If you want the absolute best raw milk on 'da planet Earth call my good buddy Da Milk Man at 417-924-8164. He doesn't deliver but is absolutly obsessed about producing the best raw milk in the area, guaranteed! (No offense other milk people, but this guy is too good, his milk will last over a month or even two).

5. Take interest in your body. Love your body and care for it and it will care for you in return. Go treat yourself to a massage, you deserve it! (Seriously. Call your favorite massage therapist and schedule, hurry!)

I told you to quit reading, go, seriously... stop reading, ha!  Love ya!
