The Developmental Center of the Ozarks' annual Wine Barrel Derby, where local restaurants and organizations build custom vehicles and race them around the square, has been pushed back to September 21 at 3 p.m. It was originally scheduled for this Sunday.
The reason: The barrels just got here, giving the participants not nearly enough time to build safe, speedy devices. We blame Hurricane Fay. Or the Chinese gymnastics team.
The DCO's Wine Walk, scheduled for Thursday, September 4, will continue as planned. See the Developmental Center of the Ozarks' Wine Walk website for more info.
