Branson This-n-That
We get a good number of Branson-centric news in our inboxes every week, and it's our goal (nay, our resolution!) to bring you more of that here on the 417 Blog.
So here goes:
• This weekend marks the shows by country superstar Neal McCoy at Yakov Smirnoff's Theater. You can hear him tonight, Saturday or Sunday, and if you buy a Neal McCoy ticket, you'll get a ticket to Yakov's Moscow Circus for half price. Seems like a pretty good deal, no?
• Also, legendary Hee Haw host Roy Clark is in Branson for three weekends in September and October. Your first chances to hear him—along with his backing band, Roy's Toys, and 417-lander and former Nashville Star finalist Justin David—is September 24-26. He'll appear at the Tri-Lakes Center. Call 417-336-0219.
• Finally, in what is undoubtedly the most interesting promotion to hit our inboxes this week, the stars of Louise Harrison's Liverpool Legends show will take on members of Best Buy's Geek Squad in the new The Beatles: Rock Band video game. The matchup kicks off a series of weekly The Beatles: Rock Band competitions at the Branson Best Buy. Now that's innovative marketing, and something that could really only happen in Branson. Wanna see the competition? Head to the Branson Best Buy (977 Branson Hills Pkwy.) on September 8. A time has not been announced (or we can't find it). Either way, you'll want to be there when John Lennon' doppelganger squares off against... a Geek Squad employee.
