Meet your 2009 Missouri Sports Hall of Fame class
The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2009 inductees yesterday. Year-to-year, we tend to think some of the inductions are stretches—particularly on the professional side—but this year's class is pretty solid through and through, and covers a number of sports. The big-ticket guys will be former Cardinal reliever Todd Worrell and Springfield's (well, Webb City's) own Grant Wistrom, and former Chief Will Shields is the hall-of-famer of the bunch. Read the whole press release here.
Here's the full list of inductees, complete with bios. The group will be honored at the annual enshrinement banquet on Saturday, February 7 at University Plaza Convention Center.
