Vincent David Jericho out at KSGF
Dave Catanese is Tweeting it and we've heard it from other good authorities: Vincent David Jericho, who has spent more than five years on the air in Springfield, all of them on Journal Broadcast's KSGF 104.1 FM (1260 AM).
Details are few, though Catanese alludes to Jericho ruffling some feathers, ironically, on the conservative side of the 417-land politics aisle. Follow Catane's thread (if you Tweet you should already), and we'll share or pass along any other tidbits about Jericho that come along.
What are your thoughts? Jericho was popular with his far-right crowd and KSGF's ratings have been relatively solid in recent years, but he also was a root instigator in a number of unproductive and one-sided jabbering matches with the city. Then there was the embarrassing "forum" early in the 2008 election cycle where Jericho threw a bag of tennis balls at then News-Leader opinions editor Tony Messenger, in effect saying Messenger had lost his.
Good riddance, or the loss of a colorful-if-polarizing voice in local radio? Tell us in the comments...
