Angie Weidinger leaving KOLR/KSFX
Just found out tonight (via Facebook, of all places, but these are the days...) that KOLR reporter/KSFX anchor Angie Weidinger's last day with the stations will be next Friday, January 30. Weidinger has been in Springfield for seven years.
Via e-mail, she tells us:
"I've been wanting to make a move to St. Louis and the opportunity came along to work at a cable station there doing longer form stories on education, the arts and culture. I may even get to work on a few documentaries and host some shows. I'm excited about it, but I have to admit it will be hard to leave all of the wonderfully friendly people of the Ozarks. I'm in my 7th year at the station - it's going to be nearly impossible to pack up my desk!"
Angie, an active community presence in addition to her award-winning journalism skills, will be missed. We wish her the best of luck.
