St. Paddy's Day parade now taking entries
The Urban Districts Alliance is now taking entries for the March 14 St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Springfield. If you want to drive your own ode to the man who chased 'dem squiggly snakes outta Ireland, there is no cost... you might even win cash prizes of anywhere from $100 to $500. Sweet, huh?

SPRINGFIELD, MO - Springfield's 29th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration will be held Saturday, March 14th, in Downtown Springfield.
Entries are now being accepted for the parade. Registration is free, but all participants must pre-register. Prize categories this year include best Irish family, best individual costume, best Irish pet, best float, best musical entry, best youth entry, and more. The coveted committee trophy will be awarded to the entry that best embodies the spirit of the day.
This year, cash prizes of $500, $250, and $100 respectively will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the float division.
