417 Magazine assistant editor Melody Adams spoke today with a casting agent (here's her company) who is spreading the word about "extras" auditions for the movie adaption of Winter's Bone, a 2006 novel by West Plains-based writer Daniel Woodrell. The film, will be filmed here in the Ozarks, and they would like some locals to fill some of the background roles.
The auditions will be this Saturday (January 10) at Forsyth High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here are directions.
Winter's Bone is scheduled to shoot in the Forsyth area later this year. Unfortunately, we couldn't find an imdb.com page for the movie. We'll let you know as more updates come across our desk.
