417 Restaurant Week Returns!
417 Restaurant Week Returns!

With August comes the welcome return of 417 Restaurant Week. For nine nights—August 12-21—we have set up some of the best dining possibilities for you. This is your excuse to get out and try some new restaurants, or go back to your tried-and-true favorites. Many local foodies are known to plot out a strategy for Restaurant Week, and you might want to do the same. Here’s a few things you will want to know for your strategizing…

New this year to 417 Restaurant Week  are Andy Williams Moon River Grill in Branson, The Bayou in Monett and Nearly Famous Deli in Springfield.
•    We hear the chicken pot pie recipe at Moon River Grill is straight from the recipe box of Andy’s mother.
•    The Cajun food at The Bayou in Monett should be worth the road trip. Maybe plan it so you can also catch a double-feature at the Sunset Drive-In.
•    Nearly Famous is certainly a lunch-time hot spot, but have you tried their dinner menu? Their Restaurant Week offerings sound perfect with a glass of wine.

Here are a few Restaurant Week menu offerings that caught our eye:
•    Moroccan spiced chicken breast at Bleu Olive
•    The campus-raised pork scaloppini at Dobyns Dining Room at College of the Ozarks
•    Snickers fondue at Fedora Social House
•    A new menu is making its debut during Restaurant Week at Fire & Ice
•    The Oh My God roll at Haruno arrives at your table on fire
•    Rutherford appetizer and the Opfer pasta at Metropolitan Grill
•    Filet mignon at Touch

Also, it is important for you to note which restaurants ARE serving dinner on Sunday: Andy Williams Moon River Grill, Avanzare, Big Whiskey’s, Fire & Ice and Metropolitan Grill.
