July 11: High School Musical 2 opens at Vandivort
July 11: High School Musical 2 opens at Vandivort

The 2009-2010 theatre season gets its official (and super-early) kickoff this weekend at Vandivort Center Theatre, as they present the first local staging of High School Musical 2. A talented local cast, under the direction of Gretchen Teague, will dance, sing and teen-angst their way through all the familiar numbers. If you have kids you want to keep entertained for a couple of hours, this would be a perfect one to hit up. Tickets are $10 for kids, $15 for adults. Go to vctheatre.com for more info. HSM2 plays through August 2.

I went to the opening on July 10th and it was terrific. High energy, funny, it was exciting to see so many talented young adults spending their summers working to better themselves in song and dance. Well worth the ticket price!
