The More the Merrier
The Our Wedding Story contest was created to give all 417-land grooms- and brides-to-be a chance to have their wedding featured in 417 Bride. Nearly 30 couples decided to take a chance, and a team of judges narrowed the list to five finalists. Next we let you all vote for your favorite, and Bethany LaCavera and Brandon Dhondt won the contest.

Our wedding party consists of 23 people!
The funny thing is that neither of us ever wanted a large wedding party. But I have four sisters and he has a sister, so that automatically put us at five bridesmaids. And that’s where it all started. Then I really wanted at least one friend. Brandon agreed to let me, because it would make me happy, however, I couldn't choose between two of my friends. Reluctantly, he agreed to let me have two friends, making our total seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen.
I have eight nieces and nephews and Brandon has three. We wanted to include all of them. That put us at three junior bridesmaids, three flower girls and a ring bearer. Then, of course, we still had our other friends, so we added two ushers as well! We chose these people because they have always been there for us and we want them to stand with us on our special day.
As for what they will wear, all the boys are going to look handsome in tuxedos! Brandon’s has a twist, but you’ll have to wait for the December issue of 417 Bride to see what it is! All of the girl’s dresses are being made by my amazing mother. She’s making 13 dresses!! They are black, red and white. The flower princesses, what we are calling our flower girls, all have removable trains and tiaras. The dresses are amazing and my mom has worked so hard—and you can see that in how beautiful they are.
