Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, hosts of The History Channel’s hit nationally televised show American Pickers, scored big at the workshop and salvage yard of Aurora, Missouri resident Ed Witte. Witte, who reclaims antique items from junkyards, warehouses, flea markets and other locations, specializes in using what he discovers to create industrial furniture, artwork and other retro-inspired treasures. Watch the episode, which aired August 10, here.

Witte and his son, Mitch, who builds furniture from reclaimed wood, are also working on opening a store on the square in downtown Aurora highlighting their pieces. They plan to debut the shop, Ozarks Custom Creations, September 24 at 5 W. Pleasant St. In the meantime, check out some of Witte’s antique finds and custom furniture and artwork here.
