Free Food (perhaps for a price)
417mag.com's resident Twitter diva, Gina, spied a few great offers in upcoming weeks (two of them in the next three days). Mark your calendars and plan to take advantage of the free goodness:
Free Float. On June 3, SONIC will thank its customers on Free Float Night, giving away free 10 oz. root beer floats from 8 p.m. to midnight at participating SONIC Drive-Ins.
Free Donuts. June 5th is, of course, National Donut Day. Both Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme will be handing out free donuts to celebrate the occasion. Dunkin’ Donuts requires purchase of a beverage to get the freebie. (Editor's note: the only Dunkin' Donuts within shouting distance is in Branson, on the Strip.)
Free “Chikin.” Finally, on July 10th, Chick-fil-A celebrates its annual Cow Appreciation Day. Anyone willing to don a cow costume will be presented a free Chick-fil-A combo meal at all the chain’s participating restaurants.
Two of these are no-brainers. The other one... well, we think the cost of renting a cow costume might outstrip the cost of just purchasing a Chick-fil-A combo meal. But if you've got one laying around the house, have at it Bessie.
