Sam Clifton picked for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Sam Clifton picked for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Sam Clifton of Millstone Custom Homes announced today in a press conference that Millstone Custom Homes will join ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to build a home for a deserving family in southwest Missouri. On July 14, the Millstone team and many local sponsors will begin work and oversee an immense demolition and building project, with a result being a home constructed in one week.

At the conference, Clifton said he has never built a house in six days, and the quickest he and his team have ever built a home has been about six months. But the company is confident in the project. “We are really excited about the goal that we have, and we will not fail,” Clifton said. “Every day on the project represents a month’s work.”

In a press release about the project, Clifton explained his excitement for the project. “We are honored and humbled to undertake this project,” he said. “When they first called, I thought they were kidding. But this is real. The families are real. And together with our community, this is a chance for all of us to make a big difference. We have been so blessed, and my family and I are thrilled to support a family that needs help in these difficult economic times.”
Five deserving families in southwest Missouri are now being considered for the project, and information about the family and home location has yet to be released. The show airs locally on Sunday nights on KSPR 33. The new season begins on September 27. For more information on the home and information on volunteering, go online to millstoneextremedream.com.
